About the event

For a little over a year our organization has curated, cultivated, and facilitated events and policy recommendations rooted in cultural mindfulness, healing and human-centered practices. We have assisted provide tools, food, and other resources supplies through Community Restoration Project, when Tropical Storm Imelda impacted Texas.

We have curated over two dozen healing experiences in the last year.  We advocated for the proclamation of Sandra Bland Day on July 13, 2019, in Austin, Texas, and we now have a Sandra Bland Day in Austin.  We created culturally mindful recommendations to preserve a mural honoring people of the African Diapora killed tragically in Austin, with the collaboration of community members the mural still remains.  We have collected and distributed approximately 100 books wriTten by authors of the global majority for community members of the global majority.  We are currently working in a collaborative to end the adultification of girls of the African Diaspora. This is just the beginning.

We can do so much more with your donation.  We invite you to donate to our healing and advocacy efforts today.  Donate here for #GIVINGTUESDAY
